Some people have said if the criteria was the most experienced as CIC we would elect Dick Cheney or Don Rumsfeld.

The public mood is for change.

I wasn't even thinking of Obama's lack of experience and qualifications per se. I was focusing on his naivete and lack of maturity. In fact, neither of the Obamas can handle legitimate criticism. It was telling that Obama wasn't ready to throw Wright under the bus until Wright actually jabbed him personally. Then suddenly Wright was expendable. That's the true Obama.

The kind of change we need, if any, is not to have a couple of thin-skinned whiners in the White House. As I've said before, I don't want to live through 4 years of "the dog ate my homework." Skin color makes no difference to me, so long as the person is qualified and the skin is thick enough to handle the most prominent and stressful job in the world.
