I specifically excepted Dubai from this discussion; if you read the original post you will note that I said with the exception of Dubai. UAE is absolutely not representative of Arab countries, so you're decision to cite it really supports MY position more than it does the CONTRARY one. Dubai/UAI has been progressive -- to some extent. They are aware that by 2016 -- 8 years from now, they will be slap out of oil; and they have been proactive in spending the money to get Western contractors to come in and turn it into a tourist mecca. In fact, Dubai is the most westernized area in the region.
