Our law makers drafted and passed the legislation. Its stated purpose is: The act expands the authority of US law enforcement agencies for the stated purpose of fighting terrorism in the United States and abroad. I am sorry liberals and some democrats make it into a political issue, as well as make numerous unsubstantiated claims.............I really am. It's an untenable position, and only reinforces the general assumption that they are and always will be soft on terror.

Why did you oppose the Patriot Act? Did you want to return to 9-10, and have terrorists again and again, and again, capture our Embassy personnel, kill our Marines in Lebanon, kill and injure more people in buildings like WTC I and WTC II, and the surrounding buildings, the Pentagon, and heading for the WH or the Capitol building? Or was the USS Cole more your favorite type of attack? I used to like to live in Wonderland and Oz too, but no one was minding the store while we were pretending things were just hunky-dory..... You are probably filled with joy that ILLEGAL immigrants come in and out at will, with Heaven only knows what illnesses, crimes, and possible weapons, and maybe even WMD with them....
