Yeah, I noticed T. Boone's changing short to long. While I obviously don't know his exact entries, by his public pronouncements it seemed he was short just over $100, and changed to long around $108. Those are, of course, approximations.

In mho Boone is 100% correct in his current posture of the oil price to $150!! People simply don't get it. 85mm supply, 87mmbls demand. Oil goes to highest bidder! ONLY A GLOBAL RECESSION WILL CHANGE THOSE FACTS!! Until then, all of the "I want it now" short term traders can hope for is a possible, but very doubtful, quick $10 -$20 dollar trade on the short side. Personally, I think you've already seen it, but who knows?? Opinions make the world go round, and each to his own as I've just stated mine. Boone is also correct in stating that he can reduce oil imports 40% with his WIND/NATURAL GAS STRATEGY. Getting America and the Wall St./Politicos to move in the right direction and actions is the problem!! While I'm at it, I do feel sorry for the US public having to adjust to the high gasoline and inflation prices, I don't enjoy it either (and I'm in the oil business, thank god, offsetting the direct affects on me personally), BUT, THIS HAS BEEN A LONG TIME IN COMING . (I guess i've been as spoiled as the public when it comes to having enjoyed dirt cheap fuel prices for years. I know the US economy certainly enjoyed it!!! And I drive +-25,000 miles a year!(the oil business covers lots of territory! lol Also, I don't recall anyone feeling sorry for my family having gone bust multiple times (during oil BUSTS). Thank God we could "dust-off, pick up the pieces and start over". You have to love what you do! One last thought........I'm very concerned for my family,children,grandchildren, and America and what may lie ahead..I've got my ammo, gold, silver and am acquiring more. Hoping the potential worst case scenario does not come about and put my faith in the "silent majority middle american" solution developing and in God's plan which fortunately ' I don't know the results, but my experience tells me will work out OK. no mo later PS: "Anyone who wants to make a good living should get a job in the Energy Industry (Service, drilling,etc") Work hard, play hard, and piece of mind.

"Has the market merely changed Boone's opinion, and is he now just talking his own book?" The market didn't change his mind, the chart did. The chart answers every question. Speaking of which when it comes to gold, the thing that answers all the questions says that there will be correction when GLD gets near 92.48.

In case you've never read it(?) ... ....I highly recommend her concise 165 page treatise "The Virtue Of Selfishness". Don't let the title fool anyone here! THAT BOOK is practically an "owners manual" for a functioning modern society! amazon.com Highly recommended for everyone to read this book and to ponder her rational and logical ideals......do yourself a favor and get a few copies for your children too!! No less than the future of humanity is at stake!
