You can try "gonna" but that has more a declarative intent than "fixin' to". You see the dilemma. Nothing else really works as well.<g> I once read a movie critic who did not like the line, "Kaylee's been missing you something fierce". I've used that expression my whole life, as has everyone else around here. I did not see his viewpoint. That's funny about "just now". I find it interesting how different cultures view time differently. (Not to mention its more, uh, extended meanings). <g>
