When your unsociable behaviour has an effect on your fellow citizens then there should be punitive action... as there is with 1000's of laws. You may have a proclivity to be a child molester but you have to pay the consequences.


To equate, morally or otherwise, driving an SUV with a crime is both extreme and absurd. Even in other absurd cases of liberalism run amok (e.g., bans against smoking in bars), a case can at least be made that the activity harms other people.

That you would suggest criminality attached to a personal, private choice such as what car you drive, how much you want to cool your home, or how much food you throw away at the buffet when you visit Harrahs, is just beyond the pale.
