I think GWB has continually appeased bin Laden.

I agree that pulling the troops out of Saudi Arabia was the right thing to do. I'd put it on GWB's short list of positive achievements. We didn't need them there, they could just as easily be in Qatar, where they were relocated and it removed bin Laden's chief complaint about us.

The irony is that GWB cannot boast about it for fear of being called, well, an appeaser.

Do you think GWB's decision to pursue bin Laden, but not really, stemmed in part from the close business relationships between the Bush and bin Laden families?
