LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bill and Hillary Clinton dropped by Lynn’s Paradise Café, a cutesy diner near downtown, for an election-day photo op Tuesday morning.
While Mrs. Clinton mingled with the patrons, Mr. Clinton held an impromptu press briefing near the kitchen door surrounded by a scrum of reporters and photographers. The voluble ex-president took a variety of questions but seemed most fixated on what should and will happen with the votes and delegates from Florida and Michigan.
He was asked whether Senator Barack Obama could make a credible claim that he had won a majority of pledged delegates after the votes from the Kentucky and Oregon primaries are tallied Tuesday night.
He can’t, Mr. Clinton said, “unless you decapitate Michigan and Florida, which violates our values and is dumb politics.”
