Higher interest rates are out the question until after the election.

I agree that trying to predict daily moves is stupid but Hussman on principle refuses to make any but long-term forecasts.

He knows how to keep risk minimal but maximizing returns is something else again.

He takes the CPI seriously when almost everybody knows it is worthless garbage that vastly understates inflation.

He seems oblivious to the impact on the dollar and gold of the Fed trading treasuries for marginal paper of various kinds.

Barring a fundamental change of Fed and Treasury policy new highs in gold and silver seem quite likely before the fall election IMHO.
