I spent a lot of time in the Au Sable Forks/Plattsburg area. Also Dannemora. We stayed in a motel right across the street from the penitentiary and could see the work crews going out every morning. In Au Sable, we stayed at this really cool old lodge, a huge rustic thing. A throwback no doubt to the Great Camp days. In the sixties, those things were waning. I missed part of the program on Adirondack Park, particularly the eastern part. I'd love to see it again, but it doesn't appear on the search screen anymore.
