Actually, this is so true that the northwest salmon fishery has been closed due to a lack of fish, BY the fishermen. Even they realize if they thought like you and i-node, they'd fish themselves out of a life.

You do realize that every major fishery stock has declined by at least 20% over the past few decades? And, in fact, some are no longer viable to commercially fish?

Cod, for example, have been placed on the endangered species list. If you know anything about the history of that fishery, you know how extraordinary that is.

And the decline in fish stocks is credited to, you got it, the big boats with the big nets.
