Since I couldn't copy and paste a pdf file, I typed what Snopes actually said.

What Snopes says: A billion days is approx 2.74 million years; the era defined by that time period is generally estimated to be about when the first species of the genus Homo appeared in Africa, having diverged from the Australopithecines.

Sr K, this isn't a LeftWing board....The folks here actually care about facts, and don't just sling them over the fence as some others are wont to do.....
