It's because there aren't any near as many hunters as in past times, and we've killed all the big predators. We're bringing back the big predators where I live. There was a mountain lion in a downtown city park here not long ago, and I saw a pack of wolves last time I was at Yellowstone.

Odd how a liberal places an animal above human life in order to show they are a better person, trying to show they care more about humanity than the average man...
