Really, if you take the X out of algebra, what have you got? Not much, I think.

Yet, algebra is known to have existed in significant form 500 years before The Prophet. How could you have had algebra without an X?

Define algebra. Yes, certain aspects predated the prophet. But much of what we think of algebra comes from the Muslims. Like with astronomy. Or, even economics. Don't try to belittle what they did for political reasons.

They clotheslined by the 13th century. When Christianity started to learn from the real world, the only model was the islamic one.
