Same here. Mostly because I am short and weak, and hate struggling to get something up there. Have started acting old and feeble so men will help. Maybe I need a grey wig and a cane.

I've noticed that people rarely put anything under the seat but go right for the overhead bins. I always used the under-seat unless I'm on the aisle where a normal carry-on doesn't fit.

On my Texas flights, down and back within a week, I always carry on two bags. One, the larger, of course, goes in the overhead; the other, the smaller, goes under the seat in front of me.

No checkins.

Karen -

I'm 6'3" tall. Putting anything under the seat in front of me, when I am in coach, makes a bad legroom situation worse.

On the other hand, I'm not so rude as to bring a huge rolling cargo container on board to squeeze into the overhead.

I'm guessing you're not quite as tall as I am.
