It's not like I would have had an opportunity to question them.

The only upside I see in the primary marathon is that the candidates have to go to all 50 states, chat however briefly with thousands of locals they would otherwise never communicate with two-way as president, and also talk to local media who would similarly have zero access to a sitting president.

At least they are inaugurated with a few fresh pictures of life in rural North Carolina or south central LA. They sure won't get them as incumbents.

I don't care whether the candidates go to the states, but they need to appeal to the issues in the states. If we lose the Electoral College, that is a virtual certainty.
