I love how Obama took personal offense at Bush's remarks in Israel which weren't even directed at him.

Actually the press was alerted before hand that the Bush speech would have that reference to Obama.

obama saw political advantage in taking bushes attack as an attack on him whether it was thus intended or not. The bush team mucked up the meaning of the word appeasement so much in the subsequent back and forth, that it almost was funny. Only someone like david ray could believe anything obama said was appeasement. As for carter, he travels to the beat of a different drum and certainly was not a representative of US govt thought. It may have been untoward for an ex-prez to do what he did, but it wasnt appeasement because private citizens dont have the power to appease or not appease.

What's wrong with McSame, from YOUR POV? You voted for Bush twice, wouldn't you LOVE a third Bush term? Don't you WANT to stay in Iraq until we achieve "victory"? Don't you WANT to hit Iran for Israel's sake?
