I like the snacks such as they are because they break up the trip.

Surely you can stuff a bag of trail mix in one of your two bags.

My biggest complaint is where to put my knees.

That's why I like American and want it to survive. Legroom, even at my height. I don't sit well squarely on the seat. I need to shift from hip to hip and cross my legs. Either that or stand periodically, which is why the carts are problematic.
