The states I'm interested in have a lot of federal land. When the environmentalists succeeded in severely curtailing timber harvest on those lands, the unintended consequence was a severe loss of revenue for the local schools. The local taxpayers had to make that up, and they are already stretched thin because of the economies in those states.

I'm sure I can come up with others, but I gotta go.
