There was someone on talkradio this morning discussing the superdelegates and their purpose. It had been so long since they actually had to perform their job that the times may no longer support that original purpose. It's the old smoke-filled room thing, according to this guy, designed to take the passion and emotion out, and decide who reallly is the most electable. I personally hate the idea of the decision being made like that as if the normal voter can't be trusted and so the parents have to step in and take over, but I think it's what Hillary is still hoping for.
