With the 80% discontent in the country, a simple "are you better off now than four years ago" message will be very effective. Then Obama's stump speech has specifics on how he would work to make sure that isn't true four more years from now.

McCain has a big hill to climb. Those who think Obama can be defined away as a weirdo lefty had better listen closely and watch the public reaction to Obama's message.
