Whether this would change the general narrative might depend more on how McCain campaigns, Sam. If he campaigns as bad as he has in recent days and looks as sort of lost and stumbles through his speeches, then all this stuff will come together in one large rather negative narrative.

However, if he manages to campaign as he did in 2000, then, at best, this stuff will produce a counter narrative but not the dominant one.

Gonna be an interesting general election.

<<<McCain's 'free ride' in the media>>>

What is it with media? The problem is systemic. They are not going to change.

Look at what they did in the 2000 elections.

They gave Bush a free ride and called Gore a liar. They called the debates between a policy wonk and a know nothing empty suit a toss up.

In the 2004 elections they let people call Kerry, a decorated war veteran with shrapnel in his body, a coward and a traitor and gave a "free ride" to Bush who avoided the draft and was AWOL from reserve duties.

Look at what they did to Hillary.
