That sounds like my type of plan.

I dropped cell phone service, because I didn't use it enough to make it worth the $40/month I was paying, and I did sometimes have problems getting a signal (including from inside my house).

THAT is a fantastic price. I bought a cell phone and a phone card for a hundred bucks. I rarely use the cell phone but want it in an emergency. I don't even know how to use this one.
