As I said, ISH, I was an under 30 starry-eyed idealist.

I know how badly Adlai lost. And, in retrospect, I am glad that he lost. The country did quite well without him in the White House. Eisenhower was an excellent leader whom history thrust into office--just as Grant was able to parlay his role in our Civil War as a ticket to the WH.

Now it's McCain's turn.
