Some blacks reject sanctioning institutions or values promoted by whites with their participation or acceptance and blacks who do are often rejected as cultural traitors.

But what is this culture they're betraying by joining these (white) institutions?

If culture consists of manners, dress, language, religion, rituals, norms of behavior such as law and morality, and systems of belief as well as art, then I'd like to look at each category and see what differences there are between black and white cultures and why these differences would lead to blacks rejecting participation in (white) institutions and values and indeed see if there is any difference between black and white values.

Manners - IMO there's no difference here....unless talking about street manners.... ie. not making eye contact while passing a stranger on the street.....

Dress - When it comes to dress that would seem to change with environment and to a certain extent education. I mean, how many blacks that have graduated college walk around with their pants down to their knees and their underwear hanging out?

language - Again, education. Unless speaking of eubonics which even most blacks wouldn't consider legitimate... In other words undereducated whites are just as incomprehensible at times as undereducated blacks.

I know I'm probably irritating many here by being so simplistic about this but this is only my initial foray into this topic. In any case, I'm starved, time to eat.......
