How much oil does it take to manufacture 1 MW of solar panels? One hybrid car? Demand does not stop on a dime and retooling "costs" energy (and lots of it). Price pressure will continue until either supply:demand equillibrium is reached....and since retooling will INCREASE demand in the short run, expect no relief in prices UNLESS the dollar jumps up (i.e, unless we solve our double deficits and slow down borrowing from the Overlords). Again a major crash with a depression would do it from the demand side, but a few hybrids whizzing around won't.

Yeah, I'm not bearish on oil or gold anytime soon......
