Democrats trounced the GOP in 2006 and are on target to do the same, or even better this year. The gains in both Houses should be very impressive for democrats. And whatever the word "liberal" means to you jokers, that's an out-dated word. We have moved on. We are progressives and progressive centrists. Even a few honest conservatives. But we are not old-style liberals. for one thing we are far more fiscally conservative than the GOP now. Putting McCain aside because he is something of a hybrid, the GOP congressional campaign is doing abyssmally. They can't raise money, have no message and even the slogan they came up with "the change you deserve" sounds like an insult to the people and is already a copyrighted line for an anti-depressant drug.
