Fox last night reported that Iran is hoarding millions of barrels of oil on super tankers screwing up supply AND throwing a kink into the shipping system. Only confirmation I could find is this dubious sounding site:

Iran has booked a supertanker that can store up to 270,000 tons of crude oil for up to 90 days. Iran already has more than 28 million barrels of oil floating in tankers outside its main export terminal in the Persian Gulf. Something is wrong with this picture

ED. looks like the source is STRATFOR - behind a membership wall. Interesting that except for Fox and Stratfor this is going totally unreported.

I wonder how the economy can carry on with 6 dollar or worse gas. I can't wait to see next winters heat bills.

Just announced American Airlines is trying to offset higher fuel prices by charging now to check bags. $15 for the first bag checked.

My low level of interest in flying just got lower.

All of our fuel bills will be MUCH worse than we think...specifically because our No Not Much Congress will whine because all of the "50% of the people who pay 4% of the income taxes" can't afford heat or food either....so unless Atlas Shrugs BIGTIME, guess who will have higher bills....
