Pretty sure that the 500,000 difference is nominal. The greater impact stems from the problems that occur as a result of the difficulties in getting the oil, from the previous number 3 producer, to market in any sort of controlled fashion from within a war zone. Don't think it is reasonable to merely subtract 500,000 bpd from total global output. The disruption is more severe and nuanced than the volume drop suggests and that is the total effect that the market, unsurprisingly, reflects.
