Scroll down to the raw state vote totals and it's easy to see why Obama would target Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, New Mexico and Ohio as the most vulnerable Republican states. The 2006 results in Virginia should put it in play, too. That is 59 electoral votes right there without Florida, giving Obama 310 and McCain 227 if Obama held all of Kerry's states too.

That's a big part of why trying to overcome large 6-figure deficits in states like Florida may not be worth it. The article Sam posted was filled with a lot of petty prejudices from some individuals that would be difficult or impossible for Obama to overcome.

You can't please all the people all the time.

Dale,

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this

<<But I don't truck with slamming a politician's supporters, especially by saying what they might have done in a given situation.>>

In my opinion, I wouldn't call saying that a politicians followers would be loyal in a close election slamming. I thought that would be considered a positive.

Does this fit the rules about talking about supporters

or maybe this here could be interpreted badly by the thin skinned

<<I am still very perplexed that there is not an active pro-Hillary thread where much of this could be voiced and discussed without all my pesky meddling>>

I see the smiley at the bottom but as you have mentioned this before, are you saying you don't want this discussion here? sniff, sniff ;<)
