I was following self-imposed guidelines to minimize my postings to not interfere with this site's conversation, and I was minding the header rule

"1) No personal insults!"

So I asked it as a question.

I didn't want to nitpick the bill's estimated size, but it seemed to be about $275 billion to $300 billion.

KLP's reference to

>>voting for the 3 BILLION ++ pork farm bill<<

may have only referred to the pork portion and not the whole bill.

-

A possible response was:

No, I was only referring to the pork portion.

or

Maybe 1/3 was pork (in the eye of the beholder). It was loaded with earmarks (if so).

It was simpler to ask a quick question, and get a quick answer, without being so precise about it.

I was not being rude, but it seemed that $3 billion was way off. That was my main point. If someone is critical of 1% of a bill, then to me the criticism is too "shotgun". The portion accidentally omitted from the version the President actually signed was way more than 1%, for instance.
