A little more about Bubba. He was treated mean and dumped out here. Ran wild for a coupla months then stayed around our place. We couldn't go outside without being injured. Called the county but after 2 weeks they couldn't find him a home. Too wild. He was up for gassing to death. $350 to buy him back from the county. It was his eyes, pale blue and expressive, looks like killer eyes but also said I need a home.

Put in a buried fence to keep him in the yard but we'd still bleed when we went out. Had 5 trainers work with him and no luck. Sent him to Darn Far Ranch for a month of intensive training. Came back a lot better plus I walked him on a pinch collar at heel for an hour a day. Worked on heel, sit, down and stay. Still went goofy from time to time. I got tired of bleeding.

Then when he went nuts I'd tell him to sit and down instead of fighting him off. Carried cookies with me. Now he went nuts and I told him sit and gave him a cookie. Went from being mauled to being his friend.
