>>> I am not giving up on mccain just yet.

Even though McCain is not as conservative as some would like (I am for the most part okay with him), the gulf between he and Obama is massive.

Obama is as extreme as any liberal can be. McCain is, at worst, a moderate conservative.

Anyone who supports Obama and claims the jury is out on McCain is, IMO, either ill-informed or not being honest about the strength of his commitment to Obama.

Clearly, you are into Obama up to your eyebrows.

I am not giving up on mccain just yet. He has been a decent guy. He is in the process of positioning himself against Obama. He is pointing out their differences in extremis. Dont forget the dems are the ones who ran the ad that said mccain proposed 100 years of war in iraq.

You are in denial. Whether he said a 100 years or not, its clear that McCain's policy on Iraq is similar to Bush's. Besides, given the past 8 years, the GOP candidate would have to be a saint before I would vote for him. And given the level of incompetence and corruption in the GOP, 'a GOP saint' is an oxymoron.
