My friend tells me that the monitoring process is quite complicated and arduous if it's done seriously. He's quite proud of the work his firm is doing. He'a on road at least three weeks a month, for three to four days each trip, at least through to the middle of the summer.

And there are, of course, those lawyer fees.

He agree with me about the following: (1)hiding the process makes it a hotbed of corruption and is particularly questionable for this administration in which appointments have been unusually due to ideological positions and buddy relations; (2) that the costs of the monitoring may make it a worse choice than comparable other punishments; but (3) the lawyers love it. ;-).
