They seem to have confused a situation that needed investigation and clarification (the underage marriages of a few) with general neglect and abuse charges regarding other 400-- a ridiculous claim. Legally, they say they are keeping these charges separate, but if that had been true, they wouldn't have done what they did. There was no way they had enough evidence to take away toddlers from the one phone call. What angers me is that we NEED protective services- they should and can perform a valuable function, but to have them carrying out this kind of encompassing raid and removal just is wrong. And it will create even more ill will toward government intervention. Heck, it makes me question it.
