The rightwing leadership is largely closeted homosexuals. That is big because the GOP rightwing actively using homophobia as a political club, as we all know. But hyporisy is rampant all through the rightwing. for instance not a single major Bushie leader ever served in combat but they are all gung ho to keep us in a state of permanent war, and love using our troops as stage props while they let them die and cut their VA benefits.
