Wait until folks lose all their faith in paper... PM is just a quiet bull market, although I would not call it such. It's the paper that is losing value - gold remains invariant. The problem with puts and double inverse is that they are not gonna be paid in a true meltdown. CDOs likewise. A domino effect will wipe out financial system. That's the risk. -g- Moreover, your accounts will be frozen, although that depends on the broker. 90% probability if 90% of the brokers collapse. -g-
