Hi eva! Thanks...

Been in Vancouver for a "do" this weekend. I used to be an idealist before becoming a money-grubbing Internet stock speculator. Was heavily involved in third world projects for a while. My wife was heavily involved at the time, too. We kind of lost touch with the process after the kids came.

Anyway, they invited my wife and I to the 50th anniversary of the founding of this particular organization. Was fun to see a lot of people we used to know and touch base with our ideals, LOL.

One of the women we used to know is now high up in the "helping" circles and is president of a big trust fund which disburses money to worthy projects. I was giving them investment advice on dumping their bond portfolio (we stayed at their house, so talked about a lot of stuff). The foundation only disburse profits, not principal, and I was quite blunt in explaining to them the pitfalls of the bond market these days, and why they had very little to give this year.

"Got gold?"
