The good news is that within a few years 100% electric vehicles, or hybrids that are mostly electric, will be flooding the market.


That's sounds good but I am not so sure it will happen as fast as you seem to think. Toyota is the biggest producers of hybrids. Their Prius has been on the market for at least 3 years and they just celebrated their millionth car in the world. Frankly, that's a drop in the bucket.

The bad news is that American automakers don't have the gumption to participate in it -- so, it will amount to another missed opportunity for American business.

The American automakers make a lie out of the statement that American technology is cutting edge. Auto's upper mgmt is made up of dinosaurs who apparently are so entrenched, failure has become a part of normal business operations.
