My take-away is two-fold: (1) they're actually worried that Hillary still has a chance and (2) neither Obama nor his team are ready for prime time.

Agree on both points. In my book, you should never, ever count the Clintons down and out until it's final, definitive, unchangeable even by every screwy process that can be jammed through however many rules committees the convention can offer.

I well remember an editorial cartoon from 1998 which showed a GOP elephant marching a bound, blindfolded Bill Clinton onto the gallows...only somehow the noose was around the elephant's neck, and the trap door was opening! all the elephant could think was "how the heck did THAT happen?" as Bill Clinton stood there smiling.

Never count the Clintons out.
