There doesn't seem to be a place in government for a candidate that actually wants to enforce and follow the original government rulebook (The Constitution). Unfortunately your right. It's because 99.9% of Americans don't know about or care of The Constitution. It would be like a preacher not following the bible. It just doesn't make sense. When people vote, just think about what they are considering: Man, Woman, Black, White, Well spoken, Educated, Charming, Charisma, Change, etc.....

But, if one had to make up a list of qualities in the ultimate presidential candidate (or any Federal candidate), what SHOULD they be? I'd be interested in what folks should be thinking about when they go to choose their candidate.... height, color, sex, religious background, ????

Wait, how about this novel idea? We vote based on their intent on filling their job description. A candidate can pledge to do any and everything they want WITHIN the bounds of the Constitution. If voters knew what the Constitution was about in the first place, then it would eliminate many candidates from the list by default. The remaining candidates would be a matter of choosing the "greatest of all goods", rather than the "lesser of all evils." Ron Paul would be one of the few candidates we could vote for using the proper standards ..... just my humble, freebie, and constitutional opinion.
