There will be a contrast of judgments for both candidates. McCain's problematic side includes his flipflopping on tax cuts, preachers (twice now), maybe torture, etc., his extensive lobbyist ties clashing with his reform image, the temper thing and so on. He also can't afford any gaffes that look like confusion due to age.

In the end the bigger picture will be a mostly status quo platform (with 80% of voters unhappy with the country's current direction) vs. promises of the unknown, whose appeal is mid-to high 40%'s right now, before the general campaign.

I'm curious to see if Obama's polls move once Hillary has been sidelined and he has the same anointed status that McCain enjoys now.

As the people if they believe in GW enough to pay for it - and DARN IT - make sure they know what price they are being asked to pay!

Alternative power is the next big business opportunity, ask T Boone Pickens, who just ordered $2B worth of wind turbines.

Why do you think it will be a cost center?
