OP - In the case of Crosshair, I have an official answer already re the warrants and the spinoff! The answer is that the CXX warrants will not pertain to the spinoff stock. I decided to write an email to Investor Relations officer Jennifer Richards right after posting my question on the board, and she responded Sunday night.
Here are her exact words.

"The warrants are eligible for Crosshair common shares and only the shares you actually hold will be deemed for dividends in the new company."

Coupled with your Bankers Petroleum example, this Crosshair deal and that one show that there are no set rules for how to treat warrant holders in a spinoff. Buyer beware!
