I didn't realize until a few years ago how different the seasons are from Boston to DC.. Growing up in NYC I just assumed we were all similar in the NE (and that included Buffalo, Pittsburg ect..) and all wanted to escape to FL during the long 'harsh' winters.. Now with global warming winter is nothing more than a minor inconvenience from DC south
