JERUSALEM – The Israeli government estimates Sen. Barack Obama will win the presidential elections and is rushing to finalize a deal with the Palestinians and possibly Syria before President Bush leaves office, two top Israeli diplomats told WND. Yet another reason to believe that the current government are fools. Israelis stoically put up with a lot, which is one reason they have put up with this hack Olmert despite his having approval ratings around 3%. But if he tries to ram any West Bank giveaway deal through the equally unpopular Knesset, I think you will see a million Israelis take to the street and force Shas or even Labor out of the government. Even lefty Israelis can read the lesson of Gaza.
