Do you have any idea what will happen if the entire Middle East turns their support to Iran , which they will obviously do if we pull out? It is not the price of oil we will have to worry about. Oil WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE to this country at any price. I personally would vote for any presidential candidate who did what JFK did with the space program---declare a goal to bring this country to total energy independence in a decade.

Wrong .. ME oil from any source merely needs to be on the
market .. We'll get ours from other exporters .. It's all
about supply and net available exports .. SA/Iraq/Iran may
or may not increase net available exports going forward as
internal consumption will rise as their domestic economies
stabilize and grow ..

Total energy independence ?? Not gonna happen until
we figure out how to run our economy on a lot less than
22 million barrels per day ..

Triff ..

Thanks! Retired Brig. Gen Cash certainly hits the nail on the head as far as the problem and a vital solution are concerned.

Maybe those of us here on PfP can visualize what the US and the world will face with no oil, and no real energy solution in the near term...but most of the rest of the US isn't giving it a thought. Most of the rest of the citizens are blaming the high price of gas on everyone but themselves....they are the ones who have supported the Congressmen over the last 40 years to continue voting "No, and H*ll No"..."We won't do more drilling, We won't build new refineries, and We won't pay to develop new systems to deliver new energy...."

YES, THIS IS WHAT WE MUST DO!

what JFK did with the space program---declare a goal to bring this country to total energy independence in a decade.
