I realize you're adamantly opposed to the war, but this statement is nonsense.

It's pretty much the opposite of the Powell Doctrine, which was probably the only good thing to come out of the Vietnam war.

I do think the Powell Doctrine was abandoned for this war. However, I think we also found out that wars can't always be as tidy as Powell believed.
