Considering that discount brokers are dropping like flies in this market, I'd expect consumers to get less service. Eventually, this might lead to a defunct MLS. But I'm sure consumers will feel quite comfortable nestled in the hands of Microsoft. If you like the service they provide now for crappy software, they will love the same service for a $600,000 purchase. Try explaining why there is a discrepancy in the closing statement o your outsourced "broker" in India. That is, if you can get through to him while you're at the settlement table. Sure there are corrupt and stupid agents but what will you get at Walmart prices?
