Stripper Says Her Job Is To Blame For DUI Wreck Last Edited: Tuesday, 27 May 2008, 9:46 AM MDT Created: Tuesday, 27 May 2008, 9:46 AM MDT By The Associated Press BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A Birmingham stripper has filed suit claiming that her job caused her to have a wreck on her way home from work. Patsy Hamaker's suit, which was filed in Jefferson County circuit court last week, says part of her job as a dancer at The Furnace involved encouraging customers to buy her alcoholic drinks. The suit alleges that managers let her leave work drunk on Oct. 17. She wrecked her car, resulting in serious injury. According to the suit, dancers receive a percentage of drink sales. Hamaker seeks compensation for her injuries and additional money to punish the club. Hamaker's lawyer, Alan Smith, declined comment on where his client lives or whether she still works for the club. The Birmingham News said Monday that efforts were unsuccessful to reach the club's owner. ------ Information from: The Birmingham News

No longer will women and girls be able to feel completely safe in the most private and personal bathroom and locker facilities of schools, public pools, malls, stores, health clubs, restaurants and other such public places throughout the county. County Executive Ike Leggett signed Bill 23-07, the outrageous legislation that may result in forcing even religious schools to hire transgender teachers; and then also allow cross-dressing but biological males in your daughter’s school locker room. Maryland Citizens for a Responsible Government has filed a referendum to prevent the implementation of Bill 23-07. We are calling on every concerned Montgomery County citizen to join us in this huge undertaking.”
