I've noticed one thing i-node, as I watch the faces of the dead every night on the Newshour. They show the faces of our dead soldiers every night at the end of the broadcast as thier names are released by the military.

Almost none of them are from large cities, New York, Boston, Seattle, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, etc. they're almost all from small or smaller towns. What does that tell you?

has it ever crossed any neo's mind that paying for college may actually encourage poor guys to enlist?

But according to the Left, there is disproportionate representation of the poor in the military. Remember how unfair it is that we make the poor fight our wars? Now, you're claiming this is a good reason to support this legislation?

That's not exactly what the left was saying.......it was said if Bush and Congress want to start a war, then send your own children to war. There was a time in this country when the children of leaders did fight in the wars albeit as officers, not grunts. No longer.

None of us understands the intricacy of the legislation; ultimately, we have to take someone's word for. On military matters, if John McCain says it, that's pretty much good enough for most people,

The same John McCain who gets Iran and Iraq mixed him, thinks al Qaida is Shia, thinks its perfectly safe to walk in a Baghdad open market, forgetting that he is surrounded by numerous body guards and who one minute is an expert on the economy, the next uninformed. That John McCain??! You've got to be kidding.

and the rest of you will never be satisfied until we disband the military altogether.

We don't have to disband it........just reduce its impact on the American budget so that its more in line with the rest of the world.
